Terms of Use

Effective date: 2 September 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of luxvidigal.com (the "Site"), operated by Lux Vidigal ("we", "us"), a short-stay apartment in Vidigal, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. By using the Site you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the Site

You may use this Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, copy, or republish substantial parts of its text, design, or photography without our written permission.

2. Intellectual Property

The Site's text, layout, design, and our own photography belong to Lux Vidigal. Some photographs of Rio de Janeiro are used under Creative Commons licenses and are credited on the page where they appear, with the author and license linked; those images remain the property of their authors.

3. Trademarks & Independence

Airbnb, Google, Instagram, and other product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners. Lux Vidigal is an independent host and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them. Where we link to Airbnb, we do so only to let you complete a booking on that platform under its own terms.

4. Bookings

Reservations are made and governed either through Airbnb or by direct arrangement with us. The price, deposit, cancellation, and house rules that apply to your stay are those shown on Airbnb or in your direct confirmation. Nothing on this Site is a binding offer of accommodation until a reservation is confirmed.

5. Accuracy of Information

Descriptions of the apartment, the neighborhood, and things to do in Rio are provided for general information and change over time. We make a genuine effort to keep them accurate but do not warrant that every detail is current, and they are not professional travel advice.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Brazil's Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor).

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of Rio de Janeiro have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

8. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on this Site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact details. We respond within 5 business days and will remove or credit material shown to be infringing.

9. Changes & Contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always at luxvidigal.com/terms.
